Acceptance letter requirements for foreign candidates

Foreign candidates for scholarships in Brazil who wish to present the CEPEAD acceptance letter as one of their enrollment documents must send the following documents by DD MM YYYY:

  • Research Project (15 pages maximum);
  • Curriculum Vitae;
  • Certificate of Portuguese Language Fluency;
  • Academic Transcript;
  • Letter by the student providing a rationale for entering the program in a Brazilian Institution.

The process for identifying the candidates who will receive the “Acceptance Letter” will be conducted by a special committee designated by the CEPEAD Academic Committee.

We stress that the “Acceptance Letter” is one of the steps in the selection process carried out by Brazilian Research Support Foundations and candidates must be aware of the other requirements contained in the relevant public notice.

Acceptance of a foreign candidate holding an “Acceptance Letter” is subject entirely to final approval by the support agency for financing the Masters/Doctorate.

(1) If there are changes to the regular dates used by CAPES, which are specified in Public Notice PEC-PG, the deadline for presenting documents to CEPEAD will be 30 days before the stated date.
